Frank D. Moon Ii

Frank Douglas ” Bookie ” Moon II was the youngest of two children born to the union of Frank ” Mike” Moon I and Delores Marie Moon on May 13, 1971.

Frank was born and raised in Rehobeth Temple church of Christ under the late Bishop Kenneth l. Bligen. Frank was a member of a number of ministries such as.. the rainbow choir, the young adult choir , the bell choir, a group he had with his family called the cousins , teenage ushers tonnage a few. Frank also sang in City wide choir as well as many other singing groups around Ohio and other states. Later in Franks adulthood he transitioned to become a member of Higher ground A.A.A where he served in many capacities there under Bishop Sherman Watkins.

Frank made many moves to pursue singing more aggressively and his last move landed him in Atlanta Georgia. Frank attended and was a member of The Cathedral of Faith C.OG.I.C where Pastor Arthur F. Mosley was his pastor. Frank was a part of the COF sanctuary choir , mass choir as well as the Med chorus. He also assisted and supported the leaders of the pastors side ministry. Frank was always seen serving in various church and fellowship functions. The C.O.F loved and were blessed by his singing. He will be sorely missed by the church family.

Frank graduated from Independence high school in 1989 where he was voted class clown his senior year (who knew?) . He also attended Columbus state community college .

Frank “Bookie”, was multi talented and very creative which he took after his mother . He was also a very private person who rarely complained which he took after his father. He was a SANGER (NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH SINGER! ), a fashion extraordinaire , a counselor, pizza connoisseur and comedian as anyone who was friends with him on Facebook would know. Just to name a few things .
Frank loved the Lord , his family , pizza and his friend in that order . All who truly knew him will miss the ” Bookie face” you got when someone hit a bad note ( god forbid if it were you ) or if you said or did what he so lovingly called Stupid!

Frank was a very generous , loving and supporting person even when he did feel well he would be there for his friends and family . A lot of people did not know that he suffered for over 7 years with pain from bone cancer. He fought and he battled with this for along time , until he could fight no more.

Frank was 46 years old when he departed this life and he is preceded in death by his mother, Delores Moon; maternal grandfather, Lowell Brown; paternal grandfather, Frank W. Moon; and paternal grandmother, Rosie Mathews.

He leaves to cherish his memory, father, D. Frank Moon I; sister, Natasha (Aaron) Jackson; grandmother, Virginia Brown; nephew, Re’mon Nelson; god father, Deacon Eugene Washington; god sister Marchelle (Tannis ) Vaughn; god brother, Fred Washington and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

There were some who were very close to Bookie’s heart . You talked daily or weekly and you really looked out for him . He knew that YOU cared. You all know who you are and may God bless you for your sacrifices of love .
