Frederick Pettey III

Frederick Baron Pettey III, age 53. Sunrise August 29, 1971 and Sunset October 26, 2024.

He is proceeded in death by his father Frederick B Redd, Jr, and his brother, Charles "Chuckie" L. Pettey III

Fred is survived by his mother, Betty (Patrick) Farmer; father Charles (Elizabeth) Pettey, his beloved daughter Ashley Snodgrass; and his loving son, Tyerawn Fredrick Russell, Daughter Jurnee, and son Blake Baron Boyd. He was a proud grandfather to Karrington Snodgrass, NyAirah Russell, Braxtyn Russell, and Tyerawn Fredrick Russell Jr. and a cherished brother to Rhonda Pettey-Shehee. Fred leaves behind close family members Markus Cardwell, Theodore Pettey, Seth Pettey; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his dear friends Dewayne Carter Victoria Scott, and Alison Franklin.

Fred grew up in the Brentnell community and attended Northland High School. His talent and passion for football was witnessed early as a little league football player with the Night Raider's and progressed on through his high school years.

As an adult you could always find him celebrating his love for the Miami Dolphins and Michigan Wolverines, his two favorite football teams, or experiencing life with his closest friends. His magnetic laugh, spirited smile and deep compassion kept those around him full of joy. Fred's love for family and friends will be missed by all who knew him.

Visitation 1:00 PM and Funeral Service 2:00 PM Friday, November 22, 2024 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd). There will be a private family dinner immediately after services.
