George Mckinley Parks, Sr.

George M. Parks Sr. age 77. Sunrise August 3, 1940, Sunset April 12, 2018

George was born in Gary, West Virginia, to the late Thelma and Marvin Parks. He graduated Gary District High School in 1958. He was a member of the West Virginia all black schools sports and academic Hall of Fame, 2008. He was an avid golfer, bowler and a faithful Buckeye fan. He was a retiree of the Ohio State University.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Ursula, and his brother Marvin Parks Jr.

Left to cherish his memory, sons, George Parks Jr, Gerald (Tracey) Parks; daughter, GabrielleParks-Stepter; sisters, Jacqueline (Robert) Shank and Marcella (William) Milton; grandchildren, Bradley Q (Ari) and Brandon Q. Stepter; great-granddaughter, Aaleiya N. Stepter and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

George will be missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be especially missed by those who had the privilege of loving him.
