Gianna Jaimani Finch

“With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Gianna Jaimani Finch who was taken from us too soon on 3/11/2025 at the tender age of 10 months. She brought immeasurable joy and light into our lives with her kind heart, and infectious smile. Bringing joy and happiness to everyone she touched.

Gianna Jaimani Finch was a beautiful soul, full of love and miracles. Gianna spent 203 days in the NICU and grew strong and healthy; we lovingly called her our little Princess Peanut Gigi, Born weighing 1 pound and 12 oz, Gianna was deeply loved and genuinely cared for. At her tender age, our sweet baby had a lot of personality; she was definitely a daddy ‘s girl and feisty just like her momma. Gianna loved being held and would cry if you put her down for a second; she knew she was spoiled. Giving her all the snuggles, warm hugs, and light kisses was one of our favorite things to do with her, as she adored snuggles. Gianna was a fighter and our miracle baby, and God knew what He was doing when He brought her into our lives, healing us and making us even stronger.

Gianna was about to start crawling. Our baby was a big talker and loved having good conversations with us; we miss her so much. She was progressing from relying on her G-tube to drinking more from a bottle and eating. A funny habit of hers was lifting her strong little fist up when her bottle didn't come fast enough; she didn’t play about her food. We followed a daily routine to stay organized and ensure our baby received the best care.

Gianna, baby, we want you to always know that you're so beautiful with a precious little soul. God brought you into our lives, and you made us stronger. Mommy, Daddy, and big brother are going to miss you so much, along with family and friends. We will miss your warm snuggles, your kisses, your finger grips, your strong and loving hugs. And all the special gifts; however big or small, to have you as our daughter is the greatest gift of all. May the winds of love blow softly and whisper in your ear that we love and miss you, our beautiful princess, and wish you were here. Deep in our hearts, your life is kept to love and cherish. No more tomorrows can we share, but yesterdays are always there. Forever Gianna Jaimani Finch in our hearts.

Gianna Finch was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Gwendolyn Nellum, Donald Gray, Helen and Otis Whitney, and her grandfather Corey R Roach.

She leaves to cherish her memory her mother Danaisha Nellum father Gregory Finch Sr, brother Gregory Finch Jr, grandmother Tamika Nellum, Joyce Finch grandfather John Finch Sr, great grandmothers Renee Smith and Angela Gray, great great grandmother Marjorie Pye and many more aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and friends.
