Helen L. Robinson

Mother Helen L. Robinson was born on May 22, 1943 to the late Leroy and Mable Prysock in Columbus, Ohio. She was the third child of nine children and formatively matriculated through the Columbus Public Schools.

Mother Robinson was a member of St. Paul AME Church in her early years. On September 17, 1964, she married James A. Robinson Sr. To this union four children were born: James Jr (Jamie), Raechell, Angela, and Christine whom she loved and adored.

Mother Robinson was a member of the Rehoboth Temple Church in Columbus, Ohio for some years and while there she was a member of the Sunday School and the Templeaire Choir. In the late 1970’s, Mother Robinson joined the Little Rock Church of Christ where she was a dedicated and faithful member for over 40 years. She loved serving the Lord and her church. As a parishioner of Little Rock, Mother Robinson served as head of the Nurse Corp, was a Bible School Teacher, member of the Gospel Choir, Usher Board, Kitchen Staff, Pastor’s Aide, Youth Spirit Supervisor, local and international Missionary Societies, and Abba’s Daughters.

On April 16, 2023, Mother Helen was called home to be with her Lord.

She is preceded in death by her husband; James Robinson Sr., son; James (Jamie) Robinson Jr., siblings; Melvin Caldwell, Nora Bryant, Phyllis Cason, Robert Prysock, Leroy Prysock Jr.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory three children; Raechell Robinson, Angela Robinson and Christine Robinson, sister; Margie Hines, brothers; Willie and Wilbert Prysock, eight grandchildren; Jermaine (Jennifer), Keith, Jamie, Darryl/Dylan, LaDestiney Helen-Marie, Nicholas, Titus and Trinity Nycole, nine great-grandchildren; Traylen, Jada, Jessica, Ashton, Kylie, Dante, Za’Mya, Imani and Daviere, sisters-in-law; Rachel Bozeman, Laura (Lloyd) Gay, Brenda Smith, Lillie Robinson, Bertha Prysock, Anne Kershner, those that called her grandma; Trayreeka Booth, Mary Madison and Godchildren; Gregory Ray and Justin Graves, family friend; Kayvan Keyhani and a host of family and friends.

She joins her beloved life-long friend; Gwendolyn Ray, in sweet and peaceful rest.
