Jack “Gary” Coleman began his 75-year journey in Columbus, Ohio on December 29, 1947.
Jack was born with his twin sister, Jackie “Gail”; she was born first.
Jack finished his fight after a courageous and gallant battle with his sickness. Jack completed his course and task and laid down his arms on the 15th of December 2023 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
Jack received his education through the Columbus Public school system. He furthered his formal education and graduated with a Bachelor of Science on June 13, 1975.
Jack had a passion for reading, fishing, along with the Ohio State Buckeyes, but most of all he loved plants, which were everywhere.
Jack enlisted in the Marine Corps on April 25, 1967 and served his country in the Vietnam War and he received the Purple Heart Medal.
Jack will now be with his fellow Marine Corps Brothers again in the National Military Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio.
