Jalen Keaton

Jalen Christopher Keaton, born June 1, 2002 in Columbus, Ohio, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, December 20, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.  Jalen was the son of Bryan Tyrell Keaton and Adrianne Renee Edwards. He was a member of Flintridge Community Church, where he engaged in Youth Ministry for several years as a Jr. Usher and part of Dance Ministry. Jalen accepted Jesus Christ at the age of 10 years old.

He loved to dance, cook, listen to music and enjoy life. He was a very faithful friend; often putting the needs of others above his own.  Jalen started dancing at a very young age as a part of The Chocolate Nutcracker.  By the fourth grade, he joined the Momentum program where he excelled achieving XO status for eXtraOrdinary!  He would go on to land several lead roles for the yearly performances and was even asked to come back to participate once he aged out of the program.  By middle school he was designated as Gifted and Talented in Dance.  Dancing was truly his passion!  Naturally, he matriculated to Fort Hayes Arts and Academic High School where he immediately joined the Dance Ensemble, a rare achievement for a male Freshman! He added several more performances to his resume including family reunion entertainment and a dance with his sister Jocelyn in ShadowBox Live STEM Rocks the Box!

When it came to cooking, Jalen would try anything once and make it TASTY!  He often whipped up meals for the family from boxed meal kits that turned out delicious!  He was like an old soul where everybody was eating!  Whoever was at our house, Jalen would make sure they got a plate! He loved to serve in this way.

Jalen was initiated nearly 10 years ago in Henry Sims chapter and served as It Past Master Counselor. He served the state of Ohio as the Past Right Valiant Grand Deputy Counselor of the Most Venerable Grand Chapter Order of Pythagorans

Jalen leaves a vibrant legacy and memories to be cherished by his parents, Bryan Keaton and Adrianne Edwards; his five siblings, James Walker, Manzel Shyheim Sette, Jocelyn Sequoia Marie Edwards, Bryson Jerrell Keaton and Avery James Nathaniel Keaton as well as his two sibling cats, Isaac & Iris.

Jalen’s last call on earth was to answer the prayers of five families through organ donation. His heart, lung, right and left kidney and his liver was successfully matched to others in need. Jalen will forever remain OUR HERO!
