James G. Weatherspoon

James G. Weatherspoon, age 80. Passed away on January 9, 2022, with his wife and family by his side. He was born September 18, 1941, to Dorothy Black and Henry Weatherspoon in Columbus, Ohio.

Jim’s formal education went up to the 10^th. grade. He began working at an early age.  At age 13 he began working for Weishemer Company, while there the name changed to Petzazz which is now known as Pet’s Mart.

Jim loved to drive his red and purple semi-trucks. Mom bought dad a pair of cowboy boots that he would wear as he drove the semi-trucks until they were worn out.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Janice Weatherspoon; children, Jimmy Weatherspoon (Donna), Renee Weatherspoon and Steve Weatherspoon; five grandchildren as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Jim Weatherspoon will be missed as a dear husband, father, and grandfather (PaPa).

Visitation 1:00 PM and Private Memorial Service 2:00 PM Friday, January 21, 2022 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd).
