James Truss

James Truss, age 87, was born February 2, 1932 in Columbus, Ohio to Thomas and Daisy Truss. He departed this life on Saturday, December 21, 2019 to a lengthy illness. James fought a courageous battle with this illness.

James grew up in the Historic Mt. Vernon Ave area. He was a product of East High School. Early in life James moved to the New Jersey area where he worked until retirement. James returned to Columbus Ohio and resided with his sister Betty Brisco until his time of death.

James is preceded in death by parents Thomas and Daisy Truss, wife Geneva Truss, brothers Thomas C. Truss Jr., Willie (Billy) Truss and Harold Truss, and sister Eleanor Staten.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories; brothers Charles (Annette) of Moreno Valley, CA., Rev. Earl (Lydia) Truss, of Inkster, MI., and Rev. Joseph (Barbara) Truss of Queens Villiage, NY, sisters Betty Brisco, and Joann Brisco, both of Columbus, OH., sister in law Hattie Truss, and uncle Howard (Oneda) Eubanks, also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Visitation 11:00am and Funeral 12:00pm Monday, December 30, 2019 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Ave.

Interment at Evergreen Burial Park.
