James Walker

James Clifton Walker, born August 7, 1932 in the union of James and Mosella Walker in Vance Boro, North Carolina. James had 5 siblings, James being the second oldest. James attended grade school in North Carolina and after his formal education he enlisted into the United States Army and served for 2 years as a military cook. James relocated to Akron after his military duties, and settled on a career as a Truck Engineer. James loved golf, old western movies, and was a devoted Cleveland Browns fan. He devoted 25+ years to truck driving and retired from Roadway in 2001.

He married his 3rd wife (Gloria McCray) in 1994 and moved his family to Columbus, OH. James departed this life on September 24, 2017 surrounded by family. He was preceded in death by James (father), Mosella (mother), 2 sisters (Gwen & Mary), John (brother), Peola (daughter). He leaves to cherish his memory, his longtime companion Gloria McCray, Rose Walker (sister), Erma Chatman (sister), Karen Walker (daughter), Sandra Lucks (daughter), James Walker (son), many grandkids & great grand kids, nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends.
