James Walter “Coot” Wright

James Walter Wright was born July 26, 1948 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Dorothy Wright and James Warner.  He was lovingly referred to by family as “Coot”.

James attended South High School and later answered the call to service.  He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran who served in Vietnam.  He was currently retired and enjoyed focusing on his model car collection and fishing.  But what he enjoyed more than anything was being a devoted grandfather.

He is preceded in death by mother, Dorothy Wright; Father James Warner; Sisters Norma Jean Jones and Debra Wright; and Brothers Albert and Arthur Wright.

James went home to be with the Lord on April 11, 2015.  He leaves to cherish his memory sons Jason (Lasha) Carson and James Carson; and daughters Danielle Carson; granddaughters Jayla, Anaia, and Rayne Carson and Jaydan Tucker; niece Debra Jones and great nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by his very special friend Sharon Turner and lifelong best friend Gene.

Visitation 5:00pm and Funeral 6:00pm Monday April 20, 2015 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE 2500 Cleveland Ave.  Interment with Military Honors 10:00am Tuesday at Eastlawn Cemetery.
