Jay loved sports. His favorite NFL team was the Carolina Panthers and his favorite player was Cam Newton. He could give you random facts about any subject that he is talking about.

Jay was a character. Jay didn’t just come to the party, he was the party. Jay wanted everyone to be happy. To know him was to love him and to when you got to know him, he gave you a nickname and he was either saying you smell like cheese or you ugly dude, but that’s how he showed you love.

Jay had so much energy he was always looking for the next thing to do. He had aspirations of being an actor, rapper and a model. His current project was becoming a welder. In his life his favorite job was working at Bentley’s Tree Service as a “lumberjack.”

Jay left this earthly world on March 29, 2023. He was preceded in death by grandfather; Vincent Hess Sr., grandmothers; Mary Elders, and Tammy Gamble, great grandmothers; Quillie Jones and Elsie Davis, great grandfather; Roger Corry Jr., cousins; Blake Hess and Kesi Hess.

(Tineka) Gibbs and special cousin; Carole Davis and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

In the words of Jay “let’s go eat and play some spades.”
