Jarrin Allen Lamont Hickman

Jarrin Allen Lamont Hickman was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on January 4, 1992. He was the oldest of four children born to Rodric and Audrea Hickman. Being the oldest naturally made Jarrin very protective, not only over his siblings, but all that he loved.

Jarrin grew up in church and spent his childhood and young adult years at Trevitt New Life Ministries. He professed his faith in Christ and was baptized at an early age. He attended Liberty Christian Academy and Columbus City Schools graduating from Walnut Ridge High School in 2010. Jarrin went on to attend University of Toledo after graduation and later attended Walsh University in North Canton, Ohio.

Jarrin excelled academically as well as in many sports including baseball, wrestling, boxing and football. He started playing football at five years old and then played with both the Columbus Cougars and Eastland Vikings. Jarrin also played football at Walnut Ridge and at the collegiate level while attending Walsh.

Jarrin loved to eat, but he also loved to exercise and worked out or jogged almost daily. He was even featured in a neighborhood article for jogging through Blendon Woods. Jarrin was also a sports enthusiast who loved LeBron James and the Indianapolis Colts. He also enjoyed boxing and playing softball with his dad and the A’s. Jarrin was currently working on a couple of entrepreneurial ventures one of which is his Ohio’s Finest shirt line.

Jarrin was known for his joking personality and could often be heard saying something funny or calling people by one of his made up nicknames. If Jarrin gave you a nickname then you knew that you were okay with him. Jarrin’s beautiful smile, kind heart and respectful demeanor left a lasting impression on all who encountered him. He truly was his brother’s keeper and sister’s protector. He loved family and was a loyal protector to his loved ones.

Jarrin departed this life on April 17, 2020, at the young age of 28 years. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Patricia Barnes; grandfather, Anthony Graves; uncle, James “Jimmy” Hickman; aunt, Carol “Nan” Hickman as well as great grandparents and great-great grandparents whom he knew and loved.
