Ja’Shaun Ty-Rese Lightfoot, better known as “JMan” was born on April 29, 2001 and passed into eternal life on Thursday, September 7, 2017.
JMan attended Columbus Public Schools, and played football for the Columbus Raiders and Canal Winchester Middle School. He had recently started an internship learning a trade in construction with his Uncle and Aunts company. His true passion was to pursue a career in boxing.
Ja’Shaun had a contagious smile that could turn a gray sky blue, as he loved to make people laugh. He had a love for music, dancing, dressing, and spending time with his family. Taking pictures were very important to him as well, as he loved his family and friends. You would never catch Jman without his phone. He loved his siblings very much, his sister Shawntyese was his best friend. Ja’Shaun “Jman” will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him, he will always dwell in a special place in our hearts.
He was proceeded in death by his great grandparents Lewis (Maple) Williams, great grandfather Will C. Lightfoot, and James William Tanner Sr. Cousins, Soyini ” Tumane” McGraw, Christopher “Pher” Robbin Slocum Jr, Terrico “Terk” Henry, Lennell “Phat Cat” Walton, and Kimyatta Williams.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother Johana Lightfoot-Kyle (Mike), father Bruce Newby Jr.(Tynesha) Sisters Queen- Shawn-Tyese Richardson, TaTyanna Ramirez, Bre-Anne Newby. Brothers King-Mi’Jae Kyle, Dajohn Kelly, Bruce Newby lll. Maternal grandmother Sonyea “Cuzzo” Lightfoot. Extended Grandmothers Susan “Nana Spank” Stewart and Mary “Dean” Kyle. Great Grandmother Maggie Mae “Lil Grams” Davis. Grandfathers Robert “Hydro” Walton and Jimmy Lee Saunders (Linda).
Aunts Nafeeshia Lightfoot, Shamita Williams, Jameed Saunders, Cheryl Stewart. Uncle Antonyo Johnson. Paternal Great Grandmother Janice Tanner, Grandmother Theresa Newby.
