Jaylin Demetrius Favers, was born on November 6, 2007 in Mansfield, Ohio to Marquia L. Franklin and Blair D. Favers. Jaylin passed away unexpectedly on April 3, 2024.

Jaylin attended Mansfield Senior High School prior to moving to Columbus, Ohio where he attended Focus Learn Academy. Jaylin, aka “Dubb”, “Jay”. “Yank”, “Suga”, “Man”, “Twin”, “Fozo”, Granny Mane”, was best known for his goofy, silly behavior and his big heart. He loved to catch people off guard by scaring them, especially Granny Crutchfield. He was an outstanding athlete both in basketball and football. Jay loved to dance and make TikTok with his special cousin and sister. He was an extreme gamer. He also loved to travel, which included his first flight to Florida. More than anything, he loved to go back home to Mansfield to see family and to hang out with his girlfriend, Danajan and friends.

Jaylin was preceded in death by his great grandfather, Aaron Butts; grandmother, Theresa Butts; uncle, Derrick Crutchfield.

Left to cherish Jaylin’s memory are his parents, Marquia Franklin (Jonathan Smith) and Blair Favers; grandparents, Nicki Franklin, Adrian Crutchfield, Edward (Suzanna Favers); great grandparents, Bonnie Manns, Bonnie Crutchfield, Roosevelt Manns; aunts, Ciera (Wayne) Merriweather, Malika Franklin, Felicia Robinson, Javarria Franklin, Kaelyn Cobb, Jaelyn Wampler, Nikki Favers, Talean Favers; uncles, Emonde Adkins, Raevon Johnson, Spencer Favers, Davon Manns; sister, Jahzia Favers; girlfriend, Danajan Anderson; special cousins, Zanah Merriweather, Abzarria Merriweather, Naomi Merriweather, Ziyonna Gladney, Donelli Coffee, Emeril Adkins; Godfather, Lakari Mitchell; Godmother, Jumille Franklin and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Visitation 6-8pm Friday April 12, 2024 at MARLAN J.
