Mrs. Jean R. Long, 83. Sunrise January 6, 1930 in Oxford, Ohio and Sunset April 4, 2013 in Dayton, Ohio. Mrs. Long received her Bachelor’s Degree at Miami University, her Masters Degree from Wright State University. She was an educator with Dayton City Schools for 46 years, named Montgomery County Teacher of the Year in 1988. She was a member of St. Benedict The Moor Catholic Church. She was also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. Beta Etta Omega Chapter, Past President of Montgomery Co. Retired Teachers Assn. and member of National Assn. of College Women. Mrs. Long was preceded in death by her parents Carrie Mae and James Henry Ross, Sr., husband Henry A. Long Jr., MD., brother James Ross, Jr. and dear friend Charles Pendleton. Left to cherish her memory, son, Henry A. (Lynn) Long, III, daughter, Angela (Joel) Long-Prentice, MD., nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
