Jeannette Frazier Barnett

Jeannette Frazier Barnett was born in November, 1936, in Columbus, Ohio, to the union of Lloyd and Ella Frazier, Sr. She was the eighth of eight children. Jeannette went to be with the Lord, at the end of January, 2023, at 86 years young!

She graduated from East High School, and immediately went to work at Western Electric, which became AT&T, and then Lucent Technology. She retired from Lucent Technology in 1994, with over 35 years of
service.

Jeannette was married to the late Charles O. Barnett, 1968, for 19 years. Jeannette was a life long disciple of Trinity Baptist Church, for over 60 years. She sang in the Major and Mass Choir, was a member of Lott Cary Foreign Mission, The Eastern Union Missionary Baptist Association [E.U.M.B.A], and the Ohio Baptist Convention
Association.

Jeannette was an avid bowler, participating in multiple leagues, at bowling centers, including, Arrow Lanes, Columbus Square Palace, Fiesta Lanes, Lincoln Village, Holiday, HP Lanes (formerly Mr. Bills and Amos Lanes), Piketon, and Wayne Webb Lanes, (formerly Rainbow Lanes). She traveled with family and friends, in Ohio and out of state, including Arizona, California, Florida, Kentucky, Michigan, Nevada, New York, North Carolina, and Oklahoma.

She also enjoyed the theatre, yearly “Girls Night” to attend “The Nutcracker”, traveling around the world to Africa, and spending quality time with her family and friends. Jeannette was an avid sports enthusiast, regularly rooting on her favorite teams, including The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Jeannette was preceded in death by her parents; Lloyd and Ella Frazier, Sr., husband; Charles O. Barnett, brothers; Reverend James, Daniel, and Emmanuel Frazier, and sisters; Ernestine Bussey, Barbara Yarborough, and Marva Garrett.

Jeannette leaves to cherish her memory, daughters; Cheryl Helms (Geoffrey, I), and Jennifer (Romel) Moore, six Grandchildren; Geoffrey, II (Asia), Chandlar, Romel David, Daniel, and Charles, brother; Lloyd Frazier, Jr., (Joyce), sister-in-law; Charlotte Frazier, many nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Jeannette Frazier Barnett was and is more than a conqueror!

Visitation 10:00 AM and Funeral Service 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at Columbus Christian Center, 2300 N. Cassady Ave. Ministry of Comfort entrusted to MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. LIVINGSTON AVE.
