Jeffrey O. Price, Sr

Jeffrey Odalis Price Sr. was born on October 10, 1964, in Brooklyn, New York to James Odalis Price and Carol Leontyne Price. He departed this life on Sunday August 4, 2024, at the age of 59.

Jeffrey graduated from South High School in Columbus, Ohio. Jeffrey attended and graduated from Franklin University Columbus, Ohio after receiving three bachelor degrees in marketing, business management and education. Jeffrey also attended Ashland University receiving three master degrees, business administration, education, and educational administration.

Jeffrey retired from Columbus City Schools after working 15years as a teacher and concluding his public service as vice principal of Columbus Alternative High School. Prior to his educator experience Jeffrey was employed for 15+ years as an underwriter at Nationwide Insurance.

Jeffrey was preceded in death by his father James Odalis Price and mother Carole Leontyne Price. Jeffrey grew up in Friendship Baptist Church. Later as an adult he joined Faith Ministries Church under the leadership of C. Dexter Wise and remained a faithful member for more than 20 years.

Jeffrey was known by more than a few names, Jeff, Jippy, JP, and Jeff ”Champ” Price for his prowess in choosing the correct football team in the football pools during the football seasons. Jeff was known to be a particularly good communicator and used his skill set both professionally and personally. Jeffrey always let you know where you stood with him and was a very fair person, albeit direct. He was a firm believer that knowledge is power and walked that out by being an avid reader.

Jeffrey enjoyed the simple things in life, time with his wife, aunts, cousins, kids, grandkids, and friends whenever possible. Jeffrey loved being outside in nature and enjoyed caring for his lawn. It has often been said that Jeffrey has the best yard on the block!

Jeffrey is survived by his wife Mykesha Price; children, Jeffrey (Alexandra) Price Jr and Jordan Price; daughter, Kylelin Williams; brothers, Brian Price and Todd (Areatha) Price; grandchildren, Jaidyn, Julianna, and Jeffrey Alexander; nieces, Brittany, Taylor, LaPrecious, and Bethany; great niece, Legend; and a whole host of cousins and close friends that were like brothers.
