Jennie B. Parker was born on January 1, 1943, to the late John Henry Miller and Paralee Ellis Miller, in Dundee, MS. She passed this life peacefully with her family by her side at Ohio Health. She was a resident of Mansfield for over 50 years.
She married the late Elijah Parker on November 1, 1966. She was an employee of Mansfield Memorial Home, when she retired in 1976, she stayed home to raise her family. She loved spending time with family, watching soap operas (Young and the Restless and Bold and Beautiful). She was an avid bingo player, loved having breakfast at Mansfield Restaurant, playing cards with two of her grandchildren, Nene and Timmy, and she loved to call her granddaughter, Sheree on a daily basis.
She was a member of Maddox Memorial Church under the leadership of the late Superintendent Aaron Williams Sr., after his passing she was under the leadership of his son, Elder Aaron Williams Jr. She was president of the Usher Board and served on the Mother’s Board.
She leaves to cherish here memories: 3 sons, Lenail Parker (Paula), John H Parker (Stephanie), and Timothy L Parker (Sharon); 2 daughters, Beatrice Johnson and Phyllis Franklin (William Jr.). She also raised six nieces and one nephew as her own, Parlee Ealy (Dwight), Dale Miller, Veronica Thomas, Alana Parker, Jane Hewitt (Kevin), Teresa Reedus (Arron), and Bridgett Massie (Doron); 1 brother, Shelby Miller; 1 sister, Catherine Hill; 2 sister in laws, Vercie Boyce and Norma Parker; 14 grandchildren, Sheree Parker-Jackson, Traci Mask, Antoine Franklin,
William Franklin III, Shequita Parker, Dionysus Parker, Stephen Parker (Kelly), Janae Parker, Natasha Franklin, Shenell MilNickel (Shannon), Marvin Parker, Lenail Parker Jr., Ta’Neesha Franklin, and Timothy Parker Jr., Ricky Bigler, Carl Isom. She was blessed with 13 great grandchildren many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry Miller and Paralee Ellis Miller; her husband, Elijah Parker; and brother, Peterpaul Miller; and sister, Susie Parker.
