Jennie Brooks

Jennie Elizabeth Brooks was born February 26, 1942 and entered eternal rest September 23,2024. 

She was educated in Urbancrest , OH and a graduate of Grove City Schools. After completing Cosmetology School, she became a beautician at Fashionables Hair Designs and was a cook at the Grill and Skillett Restaurant. 

Jennie was a dedicated and life time member of Martin Luther King Jr. Temple 1216, member of PSP Ohio State Association, and a member of Pioneer Fez.

Jennie loved her family and enjoyed cooking at the Olentangy Lodge, where she made the best potato salad and made sure you washed your hands before she served you anything to eat. She was fun to be around, and she would make you laugh during conversation, but be careful because she could let you have it at any given time. She enjoyed going to casinos and the Ohio State Buckeyes games.

Jennie is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Brooks Sr.; parents, Andrew Weatherspoon Jr., Aaron Andrews; sister, Sylvia Brown; and stepsons, David (Ricky) Brooks and Donald Brooks Jr.

Left to cherish her memory to step-children, Diane (Willie) Hughes of Jacksonville, Arkansas, and Donna (Craig) Mims of North Little Rock, Arkansas; nephew, Kenneth (Dianne) Brown; nieces, Kimberly and Valerie Brown; special nephew, Donovan Johnson and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.
