JENNORO JUAN ELMORE JR., affectionately known as “ManMan”, age 23, unexpectedly departed this life on January 10, 2023. Juan was the loving son of Jennoro Juan Elmore, Sr and Danilla Elmore. He was born on March 16, 1999, in Columbus, Ohio.
Juan graduated from Pickerington Central High School in 2018 and was an integral part of the Men’s Basketball team. Juan experienced the most joy in life from playing basketball. He began his basketball journey with Northeast Recreation center and playing at New Covenant with his many cousins and his sister. He played most of his AAU career with the OYSP, Ohio Hoopsters, Ohio Varsity and VCU Warriors. He received a Basketball Scholarship and attended Columbus State University in 2018. Juan started his career at Chillicothe Parks and Recreation and later enjoyed working with the crew in Chillicothe at the Car Wash. Juan also enjoyed working special events and was the Famous Party Bus Driver for Party Bus Express. Juan enjoyed being around family and was there for everyone when you needed him.
Juan will always be remembered for his infectious laugh, smile, silly personality and small voice that spoke volumes. He will also be remembered for the love of his family
and passion for basketball. Juan was a gentle giant with a big heart and even bigger dreams. He loved spending time with his nephews and sisters, they were the best of friends.
Juan loved and lived life to the fullest. He would spend time with his sister DJ playing basketball and cracking jokes. Juan was passionate about his family and very protective of his mother and sisters. He routinely called his mother to tell her he loved her and check in with his Dad. He loved to cook and eat his oldest sister Juanishea’s yams. He would spend time with his sister DD listening to music and playing with his nephew Max. Juan will forever be remembered and loved by many. Juan is preceded in death by his great grandmother Mittie-Lee Shanks, Mack Staples,
Margherita and Reuben Peppers Sr., grandfather, Edgar Fairley and Curtis Peaks Sr.; aunt, Esther Fairley; nephew, Da’Majh Thompson, great uncle David Staples, great aunts Brenda Elmore, Linda Elmore-Jabbar, Nancy King, and cousin, Jawaad Jabbar “JJ”.
Those left to cherish his memories are his parents, Jennoro Juan Elmore, Sr and Danilla Elmore; sisters, Juanishea (Keith Sr.) Robertson, Dashjuania Elmore, Danesha Elmore; grandparents,
Wilma Elmore, Shirley Fairley, Bettie Peaks, Reuben Peppers, and Danny Smallwood Sr.; great grandmother, Amelia Bellamy; Aunts, Samoa Moye, Shereika (Tracy) Peaks, Chris and Colby Brown, Marletta Peppers, Jillisa Peppers, Tina (Danny) Blackwell, Tracy (Larry) Hurt; uncles, Orlando Elmore, Antoine Elmore, Jason Fairley, Eric Fairley; great aunts, Delma Hayden, Drucilla Elmore, Carolyn (Clifford) McGee, Maxine Meyers, Janice Kellam, Glaydis Hines; great uncles, Leland Williams, Daryl Elmore, Raymond Staples; nephews, Mahkei Moxley, Keith Robertson Jr, and Max’Juan Thompson; cousins to name a few are Ivan Washington, Aubree Fairley Robinson, Precious Martin, Maurio Elmore, Tyreece Peaks, Olivia Peaks, N’Keeley Elmore Jr, Rasheed Elmore and abundance of cousins, relatives and special friends that he loved dearly.
Visitation 11:00 AM and Funeral 12:00 PM Saturday, January 21, 2023 at New Covenant Believers’ Church, 3400 Kohr Blvd.
Interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
