Jevon Woods

Jevon Marquise Woods was born December 3, 1994 in Columbus, OH to William Woods, Jr and Michka Hill. Jevon was educated in the Columbus Public School System and graduated from Brookhaven High School in 2013. Jevon was an avid member of the football and wrestling team. He also played the drums for 6 years and was a part of his high school band. By the time Jevon was 15, he was an entrepreneur; he stated his own bike repair and a lawncare company. He truly enjoyed providing services his community was in great need of. Jevon also entered into management while employed at McDonald’s. Jevon was a very respectful, humble, intelligent, and well mannered young man with a smile that would lighten up anyone’s world. Being graced by his presence was a blessing for many. Jevon had an unconditional love for family, especially his son. Jevon, you will be greatly missed.

Jevon walked into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 16, 2017 at 12:03am at the tender age of 22. Jevon was preceded in death by his brother, William Woods III; grandfather, William Woods, Sr; great great grandmother, Annie B. Shelby; and great uncle, James Edward Hill.

Jevon is survived by his parents, William Woods, Jr and Michka Hill; son, Jevon Woods, Jr; siblings, Breanna (Dennis) Green, Taniko Woods, Diamond Woods, Tanyjiah Woods, Tayvaughn Woods, Makiyah Woods, Taylor Woods, Liam Woods, and King Woods; grandmothers, Aiko Plummer and Sandra Woods; great grandmothers, Juanita Hill and Margaret Board; godmother, Tramaine Wright; uncles and aunts, William Woods, Jason Braswell, Jayson Smith, Marquisa Murray, Andrea Jenkins, Danielle Plummer, and Darnetta Abram; nieces, Kenndell Cobbins and Mickenze Cobbins; and a host of great aunts, great uncles, cousins, and other faithful family and loyal friends.

Visitation 11:00am Funeral 12:00pm at MARLAN GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Ave. Interment at Evergreen Burial Park.
