In Loving Memory of Jimmie Eugene O’Neal

Jimmie Eugene O’Neal, affectionately known as “Tim,” touched the lives of many during his time in this world. Born on September 20, 1942, in Omaha, GA, he brought joy and laughter wherever he went. It is with deep sadness that we announce his peaceful passing on September 28, 2023, at Ohio Health Mansfield . He was surrounded by love, comforted by the memories he created with his family and friends.

Tim, a proud African American man, grew up with a strong unwavering determination.
Beyond his career, Jimmie was known for his green thumb and passion for gardening. He found solace and pleasure in tending to his plants, watching them grow and flourish under his care. Additionally, he had a keen eye for detail, which led him to indulge his love for detailing cars. Tim took great pride in his work and ensured that every vehicle he touched shone with brilliance.

When he wasn’t busy with his hobbies, Tim enjoyed immersing himself in music. Whether he was blasting his favorite tunes in his car or creating a lively atmosphere at home, he loved to be the center of attention and embraced the joyous moments that life offered.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved children: Kimberly (Ricky) Minard, Thronda Manns, Joy Jester, and Christopher (Aimee) Ochier. Tim’s warmth extended to his entire family including, 3 sisters, Mary Webb, Margie Ford, and Johnnie Slaughter, 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation 11:00am and Funeral 12:00 noon Thursday October 5, 2023, at MARLAN GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE MANSFIELD 753 McPherson St. (formerly Williams Funeral Services). To stream the service and to offer condolences to Tim’s family, visit www.TheChapelofPeace.com

As we bid farewell, let us remember Tim as someone who lived life to the fullest, cherishing each moment and leaving an indelible mark on those he encountered. His favorite saying, “ON ACCOUNT,” resonates with the love and joy he brought to our lives.

In this time of mourning, let us come together to celebrate Tim’s life, sharing stories, laughter, and tears of remembrance. May his spirit guide us and bring us comfort as we navigate this difficult time.
