John Udell Abbott, II, 67 passed away on November 29, 2020 at his home in Columbus, Ohio.

John was born November 30, 1953 in Columbus, Ohio to Francis Abbott and John Udell Abbott Sr. He attended and graduated from Marion Franklin High School, where he won city champs all 3 years Track & Field Varsity. He was employed and retired from General Motors.

John was a member of Hosack Baptist Church. He enjoyed cooking on the grill and being around family. He will be remembered for his open ear, caring heart, and his words of wisdom. These are also the things that people loved about him.

John is survived by his two sons, Marcus DeShawn Anderson, John Udell Abbott III; daughter in law, Brittany Abbott; grandchildren Amia Samuels, Amilli Samuels Abbott, Jaia Smith, Jaiden Smith, Anthony L. Vest, Aerion Petty, and Juelz Nasir Prater; sister, Vicki Abbott; brother, Jacob Ramsey; nephew, Christian Abbott; and a host of other relatives and friends.

John will be truly missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
