Johnnie Lee Nelms Jr

Johnnie Lee Nelms Jr., age 52, was born November 23, 1965 at University Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He unexpectedly departed his life on Sunday March 18, 2018. Johnnie was known as Jr.

He graduated from North Education Center, was a veteran of the U.S. Army and member of the Free Masons. Johnnie was an entrepreneur owning Q’s Trucking. He enjoyed Basketball and his favorite football team was The Dallas Cowboys and he enjoyed spending time with his only grandson K’Nauje Nelms.

Johnnie “Jr.” is welcomed Home in Heaven by his mother, Joan Nelms; brother, Gary Andrews and sister Cheryl Calhoun. Left to cherish his memory, father, Johnnie Nelms Sr. and Michele Nelms; children, Kymbra Nelms, Stephanie; Jordan Nelms, Quincy Nelms, Guittan Walters; Ayden Nelms and Melissa; Johnnie Nelms III; siblings, Martha Stewart, Cecelia Calhoun, Tonya Stevens, Pam, Stephanie, Melody, and Antoine Nelms, Michael Calhoun and Steve; grandson K’Nauje Nelms, best friends Dave Draughon, and Chris Marbrey and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends.

Visitation 11 am and Funeral 12 noon Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave.
