Jonathan K. Carter, Sr

Jonathan Keith Carter Sr. was born January 27, 1975 in Brooklyn, NY. to David and Carol Carter. He passed away after a long standing illness on January 5, 2020.

Jonathan was born in Brooklyn NY., but was raised in Elyria, OH. He moved to Columbus, Ohio to be closer to his children and grandchildren. He was a loving father, brother, grandfather, uncle, cousin, and friend. He was a comedian who loved music, singing, rapping, and most of all, spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by parents David and Carol Carter, brother Michael Alston, and grandparents.

He leaves to cherish his memories; children Jonathan Keith Carter, Jr., Nyesha Charmae Carter, and Joseph David Carter, siblings Gwendolyn Smith, Barbara Alston, Matilda Inman, Carma Lovejoy, Joseph Carter, Lynda Lemons, and Denise Carter, grandchildren Na’Lyla S. Carter, Ny’omi M. Carter, and Natillie M. Trawick.
