Brother Joe loved his church and community. He was a member of Christ Memorial Missionary Baptist Church for 60 years where he was a Trustee. Joe would often lead the prayer before the offering in which he strongly believed in tithing and putting God first. He would would say “Pray and put it in God’s hands, he will take care of it”. Joe lived by that motto his whole life. He was a true light to the world, everywhere he went he would talk about God’s love and how blessed he was. Joe was a true fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes. In his early years he would attend every home game, he also received autographs from many of the coaches. He loved spending time with his family and all of his grand and great-grandchildren.
