Jowana Jenkins

Let’s talk about a strong, independent, vibrant, com-passionate, humorous, and caring role model born to Roberta Jenkins and Kevin Edwards on May 4, 1976 in Columbus, Ohio. February 13, 2020, Jowana Jenkins ascended to the next phase of spirituality, following a brief illness.

Born the first child of four, the only daughter. After graduating from Independence High school in 1994, she cofounded “Black Pearl Catering LLC”! She then went on to pursue her own business which would later be established as Salon Consultants LLC in 2003.

She was an indigenous woman who was diligent in business, who aspired to conquer every dream and was focused to a place of no return. A woman who took pride in her heritage, an elite member of the Black Panther Party, a community leader who embodied her role as CFO of the Osmasa Tribal Nation.

She leaves behind to cherish her precious memories; spouse Felicia Pearl, daughter KiYanna Miller, and granddaughter Aaryanna Hamilton, also a host of other relatives and friends.
