Joyce Ann Griffin

Joyce A. Griffin was born in East Gulf, West Virginia on October 13, 1943 to the late Thomas T. Smith and Margaret Smith. Joyce departed this life on Monday, April 29, 2024 at the James Cancer Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

Joyce attended East High School and worked at Local 423 as an construction worker as well as an Franklin County MRDD Bus Driver.

Joyce enjoyed bingo, fishing, socializing, cooking, listening to church gospel music and the blues. She also enjoyed travelling and sports.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Margaret Smith; brother, Larry Joe Smith; sister, Priscilla A. Turner; son, Damon L. Griffin.

Joyce is survived by her loving kids, Juanita (Gene Macklin Lynn) (OT), Vincent Griffin, Deanna Marshall; brother Kenny W. Smith; sister-in-law, Bobbie J. Smith and a host of grandkids, great grandkids, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and family.

Visitation 10:00 AM and Funeral Service 11:00 AM Thursday, May 9, 2024 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd.).

Interment at Union Cemetery Association.
