Kenneth “Ken” Jones

Kenneth “Ken” Jones was born on June 8, 1961. He departed this life suddenly on July 10, 2016 at the age of 55, at his residence.

Ken was born to the union of Robert E. Jones Sr. and Dorothy C. Jones (White) in Columbus, Ohio. He attended Linden McKinley High School. He and Velma Hardy in their union, four children were born.

Kenneth the baby of the family was a hard worker who would do anything for anyone. A excellent cook, avid card player and enjoyed keeping things in order. He would ask a million questions about any and everything at any given moment, just to keep abreast. He enjoyed music and always smiled even through the trials of life sometimes were against him, my brother never complained. He recently started attending New Generation and loved the sermons. Ken truly enjoyed his best friend for life Charmell; he would visit her daily. Ken worked for the State of Ohio prior as a chef; he attended Columbus State studying Cultery and he truly enjoyed cooking; especially chicken and pork chops. He call his aunt, Ms. Aunt Lois often. Ken was a loving father. He played an instrumental role n the lives of all, with a legacy of love, he loved to help others.

Ken is preceded in death b beloved parents Robert and Dorothy Jones, grandparents Nebraska and Mattie White, brothers William, Robert and Michael, nephew Ronald Jones and several uncles and aunts.

Kenneth is survived by loving daughters Nakisah (John) Hardy-Featherstone, Sharonica Jones, and Whitney Hardy, son Kenneth B. Hardy, 10 grandchildren, brother Jeffrey (Nedra) Jones, sisters Laverne Jones and Yolanda (William) Jones, aunts Lois White, and Annette Brown, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including best friend Charmell Abbington.

Visitation 1pm and Memorial Service 2pm Monday July 18, 2016 at MARLAN GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE, 2500 Cleveland Ave.
