Kenneth Lamont Smith

Kenneth Lamont Smith, age 85, was born in Bronx, NY on November 9, 1935. He was raised in Columbus, Ohio and departed peacefully on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at Friendship Village.

Kenneth was a retired employee for the State of Ohio. After retirement, he found a passion for painting, which he loved. He was known for his boisterous personality and loved all of his family very much. He was also a diehard Cleveland Browns fan since the age of 11 and loved the Dawg Pound.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his father, Thomas A. Smith, Sr.; mother, Theodosia A. Smith; brothers, Richard M. Smith, Sr. and Charles E. Smith; and wife, Bobbie McCall Smith.

Kenneth is survived by his three loving daughters, Vanya Smith (Mitchell) King, Cynthia Smith Lewis, and Vikki A. Smith; stepson, James McCall; brother, Thomas A. (Bobbie) Smith, Jr.; sisters, Theresa A. Tidwell, Dolores R. Carter, Carmen D. Smith, and Eunice Y. Golden; granddaughters, Takia R. Lewis and Stephanie McCall; grandsons, Gary L. (Sara) Lewis, Jr., Donte’ L. Smith, and Kendall McCall; four great grandchildren, Kion T. Lewis, Keinan D. Lewis, Alaia C. Lewis, and Elijah N. Lewis; one great granddaughter, Alayah R.N. Lewis; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Kenneth will be forever missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
