Larry L. Treadway

Larry L. Treadway 69, of Columbus passed from this life into eternal life on Thursday September 16, 2021 at home surrounded by his family.

Larry was born on December 4, 1951 in Monroe, Louisiana to Blanks Treadway and Sophronia Staten.

Larry moved to Columbus Ohio in 1971 at the Young age of 21. He attended church services with his family on Sundays and was baptized in 1973 at Main Street Baptist Church.

Larry is known for his flashy style, energetic spirit, outgoing personality and his giving heart.  In his younger days he enjoyed playing pool, dressing up for a night on the town. He also enjoyed working. He was a skilled concrete finisher. He was often proud of the work he had done and would always show off the work he had done.

Larry loved helping people. If you were in need and” if he had it”, then without a doubt you had it. He would often open his home to those without a place to stay and would not ask for a dime. He just wanted to see them get on their feet.

Larry retired just a few short years ago and was enjoying his retirement by relaxing and spending time with family and friends.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Blank Treadway and Sophronia Staten; daughter, Jamecia Mimi Ward; brother, Bobby Treadway; nephews, Gregory “Mack” Treadway, Terry “Boom” Allen, Charles “Woo” Staten and Mark “Duke” Newton.

He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Andre (California), Demetrius (Aftin) Farmer, Lashanda Ward, KK Ward Dejesus. Grandchildren Keyera Warne, Bryhne’ Alexander and Storri Farmer, Ronald Brock-Contreras, Brittany Farmer, Mykali Farmer; 10 siblings, host of nieces, nephews and close friends.  Also, Royce Morris who was like a son to him and very special friend and mother of 3 of his children Rosetta Ward, who he had shared over 50 years of love and friendship.
