Lee Olgetree

Lee V. Ogletree was born at Sunrise August 23, 1933 in Ivanhoe, VA. He passed away at Sunset on September 24, 2020 in Columbus, OH.

Lee was a resident of Virginia during his childhood. As a young adult at the age of 18, he joined the United States Army 1954 through 1957.

After serving in the United States Army he moved to Columbus, OH where he began his work career. Lee was a very dedicated worker. He worked in the private industry in various positions, including being a supervisor at Children’s Hospital in Environmental Services for many years until he retired at the age of 65.

Lee was a devoted and faithful member of Family Missionary Baptist Church, where he serviced as Deacon until his death. He joined under the leadership of Pastor Aljunius Legget and First Lady Legget and currently Pastor Frederick LaMarr and First Lady LaMarr.

Lee was preceded in death by his mother, Mable Ogletree; father, Henry Ogletree; brother, William White, Sr; wife, Veronica Ogletree; special special mention to Caroline and Calvin Portis.

Lee leaves to cherish his memory his sister, Florence Little; other family members, Julia O., Clara (Freddie) Montgomery, Jacqueline (Drexel) Jackson, Arthur Little Jr, Rod O., Nicole Ogletree, Toya (LJ) Williams, and Maurice (Teresa) Conner; and host of other love ones and friends.

Visitation 9:00am and Funeral 10:00am Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Family Missionary Baptist Church, 996 Oakwood Ave.

Interment at Northlawn Memory Gardens.
