Leon Demetrius Miller Sr. aka “Everlasting”, age 46, moved from this Earthly home into his Heavenly home on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. The cause of his sudden death is cardiac arrest and respiratory failure.
Born January 19, 1969, in Harlem, NY and raised in the Bronx NY; he was the son of Ronald Miller, Sr. of Philadelphia, PA and Rosetta Williams of Salisbury, NC. Leon married Sophonia Miller on May 19, 2000 in Salisbury, NC. Leon attended the New York City public school system where he earned his GED. Leon held various jobs however; the most enjoyable job he held was his employment with a Carnival/Fair organization where he traveled within the states of NY and NJ. Leon lived in various states which includes NY, NJ, NC and most recently OH where he became a loving and caring husband, father, friend and biker. Leon was a kind-hearted and tender-hearted person who enjoyed playing video games; he was always up for a challenge. His humor, big smile, and laughter will surely be miss.
Leon joined the Heavy Metal Motorcycle Club in July 1996 who he is known as “Everlasting”. Words cannot express the passion and dedication he had for his brothers and sisters in Heavy Metal. He was looking for a family and wanted to ride. He was Heavy Metal’s National Enforcer. During his membership in the club he was considered a long time member of Heavy Metal and earned his “Lifer” status.
He was preceded in death by his brother Ronald aka “Ron-Ron” of Philadelphia, PA.
Leon leaves precious memories to his father Ronald Miller, Sr. of Philadelphia, PA; mother Rosetta Williams of Salisbury, NC; wife Sophonia Miller; children Ciera Moore, My’Keyla Miller, Octovia Miller, Leon Miller, Jr., Lonyea Wright and Jamarveon Miller of Columbus, OH; brother Ronald Miller, Jr. of Albany, NY, sisters Claudine Miller-Robinson (Mason) of Salisbury, NC and Sakora Miller-Knox (Andrew) of Philadelphia, PA; in laws Marlene Pettis (Kenny), Andrea Grant, Lynn Lewis of Sandusky, OH, Bernneal King, Jr., of Columbus, OH ; god-daughter De’jane Beason of Columbus, OH; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, devoted childhood friends (brothers) Steve Fultz and Kelly Williams, close friends who he considers family Otis Wingo (dad) of Heavy Metal, “Showtime” (brother) of Sin City Outlaws and “Lady Stanky” (sister) of Heavy Metal.
Family will receive friends at 10:00am until start of the funeral at 12 noon Thursday January 29, 2015 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE 2500 Cleveland Ave. Interment at Evergreen Burial Park.
