Leroy Melvin Johnson

Leroy Melvin Johnson was born July 20, 1945, in Columbus, Ohio. Leroy passed in peace on January 25, 2022, with his wife by his side.

Leroy was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired Columbus City Firefighter. On October 10, 1998. Leroy was united in Holy Matrimony to Lisa Johnson and resided in, Columbus, Ohio.

Leroy was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Johnson and Thelma Berry, brother, John Franklin Johnson.

Leroy leaves to cherish his memories, his beloved wife of twenty-three years, Lisa Johnson; son, Christopher Johnson; stepsons, Isaiah Adams and Charles Hoose; daughters, LaRae (David) Benjamin, Cynthia Johnson and Rhonda Johnson; stepdaughters, Laqwana Freeman and TaJa Hawkins; brother, William (Gloria) Johnson and his beautiful grandchildren; best friend, Marcus (Rita) Green and a host if relatives and friends.

He will be missed by many.

Visitation 10:00 AM and Private TICKET ONLY Funeral Service 11:00 AM Friday, February 11, 2022 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd.).

Interment at Evergreen Burial Park.
