Mrs Linda Ann Haithcock, age 74. Sunrise August 9, 1948 and Sunset February 15, 2023 at daughter’s residence in Clayton, NC.
Linda was born August 9, 1948 in Chillicothe, Ohio to the late Essie and Bernadette Beverly. On March 8, 1974, she married John Howard Haithcock, who died August 3, 2004.
Survivors include her daughter; April Flowers Thornton, Clayton, NC, four grandchildren; Jaaron Fields (Marah), of Zebulon, NC, Marc Thornton II, of Raleigh, NC, Sydney Thornton, of Raleigh, NC, Sierra Thornton, of Raleigh, NC and three great-grandchildren; Blake, Baylor, and Lailaa Fields, of Zebulon, NC, brother; Randy (Christy) Beverly, of Chillicothe, OH, sister; Toni (Carl) Hitchens, of Frankfort, OH, and Michael (Valerie) Beverly, of Troy, OH, several nieces, nephews and cousins, Flowers Family and a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by sister; Karen Elaine McClain, of Columbus, OH, brother; Richard Allen (April-surviving) Beverly, of Chillicothe, OH.
Mrs. Haithcock began her career at Nationwide Insurance after relocating to Columbus from Chillicothe in 1968. In 1973, she began her career as an Administrative Assistant for the State of Ohio Board of Tax Appeals where she then retired in November 2003.
After the passing of her beloved husband, John Haithcock, in 2004, Linda relocated to Raleigh, NC to be close to her daughter, April Flowers Thornton and grandchildren. While living in Raleigh, NC, Linda, daughter, and grandchildren faithfully attended Crossroads Fellowship. Linda always looked forward to attending Sunday service with family. She also loved traveling, reading, cooking, and watching the TMC channel along with Golden Girls and Gunsmoke. Everyone in the neighborhood loved seeing Mrs. Linda walking with her Shih-Tzu dog, Panda. The neighbors were so incredibly kind to keep an eye on her due to the knowledge of Linda having dementia. She battled dementia for approximately nine years
as her daughter, April, cared for her loving mother until her demise.
