Lisa Tajuan Banks, age 54. Peacefully departed this earthly life to receive her “well done good and faithful servant” from the Lord. Ms. Banks received her eternal reward and has been united with her loved ones who had gone on before her. On June 26, 1970, she was born to Richard Banks and Lena Tenorio.
Born in Abelene, Texas, she grew up as a child of the U. S. Air Force, with one sibling. Ms. Banks attended Hampton High School, Hampton, Virginia, where she graduated and earned her diploma in 1988.
Ms. Banks attended DeVry University, had her first child, and graduated with a bachelor’s in business operations in 1993. Ms. Banks spent her last 5 years and 3 months at ECDI Women’s Business Center becoming the Director of the Central Ohio location during that time. She adored her family, friends, and coworkers. She took pride in her career serving the small businesses of central Ohio and always provided resources and open doors for others to flourish in business.
Ms. Banks gave her life to Christ at an early age and attended multiple churches over the years as she believed in going where God called her. She was the encouraging hand behind her children’s dedications to Christ ensuring they were knowledgeable and followed the word of God by their own volition. Ms. Banks was a kind, compassionate, and selfless woman. She admitted to her faults, mended relationships, and kept an enthusiastic spirit that radiated an energy of love and humbleness that drew others to her. She used her testimonies in life to encourage others. Using her ability of seeing the great in others, she draws out the potential in others and helped them bring it into fruition. Throughout her trials and obstacles, she fought with optimism, strength, prayer, and faith that God would heal her. Now she is in a space of eternal healing, love, and restoration.
Ms. Banks leaves behind her daughters Jaida Reese (Garan), Arianna Banks, and bonus daughter Azariah Blackford. Her Parents Richard Banks (Eulanda), and Lena Tenorio. Her sister Kristen Banks, Bonus sisters Beverly Robinson and Samyra Thomas. All siblings and parents to both of her children. Her friends and work family whom she adored and prayed for fervently and a host of aunts, uncles, and extended family.
