Lois Neely was born on September 22, 1942 in Eastman, Georgia to the union of Edward and Juanita Dupree. Lois was the eldest sister to Barbara Lattimore and from early on she displayed a strong sense of family unity.
Lois attended schools in Eastman, Georgia until she moved to Cleveland, Ohio where she received her General Education Diploma in 1983. Lois was a responsible young lady that earned the love and respect of her family members because of the way she loved and cared for others.
Shortly after moving to Cleveland, Lois married Jonah Glover and to this union was born four (4) children. Lois met Andrew Ballard and together they had a son, Darrell Glover.
In the early eighties, Lois relocated to Columbus Ohio, where she worked as a Phlebotomist at Grant Memorial Hospital until 2001.
While in Columbus, Lois met and married the love of her life, Geffory Neely. Together Geffory and Lois were a beautiful example of both love and commitment. They were both faithful members of Rhema Christian Center. Lois remained a faithful member of Rhema Christian Center until her health began to fail.
Lois enjoyed laughing and making memories with her family. She also loved shopping and one of her favorite hobbies was finding nice and appealing items from her favorite thrift shoppes. Lois also took pleasure as a spokesperson for the AA\NA community where she attended many meetings and was a proud member who loved the program.
Lois entered into her eternal sleep peacefully surrounded by her loving daughters on Thursday, February 8, 2024.
Preceding her in death was her parents, Edward and Juanita Dupree; stepfather, Joe Hughes (Daddy Joe); sister, Barbara Lattimore; beloved husband, Geffory Neely; daughter, Jeanette Glover; loving aunt, Alta Mae; son, Jonah Glover, Jr. and granddaughter, Shalon Barnett.
Lois leaves to cherish her memory two loving daughters, Benita Dulaney (Anthony) and Debra Welch; one loving son, Darrell Glover; four granddaughters, Tamika Tuggle, Latosha Glover, Quanae Glover and Saige Glover; two grandsons, David Tabb and DeAndre Glover; nine great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation 11:00 AM and Funeral Service 12:00 PM Saturday, February 17, 2024 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd).
