Loren M. Council

Loren M. Council was born on August 23, 1962, to Joseph Council and Garthene Robinson Council in Columbus, Ohio. A proud graduate of South High School, Loren furthered his education at Ashland University.

 A longtime member of Trinity Baptist Church, Loren loved the Lord and embodied the joy of life. Known for his bright smile, sharp sense of style, and ability to light up any room, he was truly the life of the party.

 On January 2, 2025, at the age of 62, Loren peacefully passed away at The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Garthene Council; his sisters, JoAnnetta Council Truss, Deborah Council, and Althea Council; and his brother, Kelvin Council.

 Loren’s legacy lives on through his children, Lauren, Lesley, Lorenzo, and Laura Council, Yvette & Yolanda Hargrove as well as his beloved grandchildren, Tarick, Tayler, and Tatem Barton; Braylen, Miyen, Nova, Aubrey, Rubi, and Lorenzo Council Jr; special relatives, Darrin Jefferson, Dena Jefferson and Angela Massey Barrett; best friend Phillip; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who cherished him deeply.

 Loren was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all who knew him. He found joy in his faith, family, and friends and loved to have a good time. May his memory continue to inspire laughter, love, and faith in those he leaves behind.
