Lula Mae Shumate

Lula Mae Shumate, age 90. Sunrise April 26, 1926 in Anderson, SC and Sunset April 5, 2017 at St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville.

She retired from American Electric Power after working for over 30 years. She loved to cook, fish and play bingo.

Lula was preceded in death by her parents, John H. and Naomi Watson; brothers, Charles and John D. Watson and sisters, Mattie Watson, Lillie Robinson, Maude Fair, Annie Watson and Dorothy Lockhart.

Left to cherish her memory, children, Louise (John) Duff, James (Janice) Shumate, Hazel (Virgil Hughes) McFadden, Bettie (Burt Gaines) Shumate, William E. (La’Tonya) Stinchcomb, and Michael (Louise) Shumate; 20 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, 5 great- great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, , cousins, other relatives and friends.

Visitation 9:00am and Funeral 10:00am Saturday April 15, 2017 at Emmanuel Tabernacle Baptist Church of The Apostolic Faith 331 N. Garfield Ave. Interment at Glen Rest Memorial Estates.
