Mannie D. Harden

Mannie Delores Harden, 67, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on April 17, 2023. Mannie was born in Tallahassee, Florida on May 25, 1955, to Alee Williams and Johnny Wilson. After attending high school at Linden McKinley and Columbus Girls High School, she entered the workforce as a caregiver in a daycare facility, then retired from Grant Hospital where she worked in housekeeping. Later, she married Ervin Harden Sr. and started a family of her own, giving birth to two handsome sons, Ervin Harden Jr, and James Harden.

Mannie lived a beautiful life, full of laughter, love, and kindness. Beloved by all who had the pleasure to meet her, she was compassionate and caring, always finding a way to help others. It was because of this love for life, family, and friends, you could often find Mannie spending time with her sons, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, mother, siblings, nieces and nephews, but also with her extended families at the Trojans MC or her local bingo hall, and of course with other lifelong friends.

We know that Mannie is surrounded by the love of her stepfathers, James Diggs and Edward Williams, and brother, James Randy Diggs who preceded her in death. She is survived by her children Ervin Harden Jr (Danielle), James Harden, grandchildren Quante, Parker, and Payton, great-grandchildren Sage and Seven, mother Alee Williams, siblings Gary Diggs, Dianna Diggs-McDougald, and Karen Diggs, nieces Kimiko Burks and Nina Diggs-Gaiton, nephews Furquan McDougald, Terrence McDougald, and Denzel McDougald, god-daughter Mary Scott, special friends Eloise Summers, Josephine Davis-Dotstry, Sharon Tannyhill , and Melinda Glass, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and others who loved her dearly.

Visitation 10:00am and Funeral 11:00am Monday, April 24, 2023 at Peace United Methodist Church, 235 Diley Road.
