Margo Patrice Walker

Margo Patrice Walker was born September 4, 1953, to William James and Joyce Margaret Hargo Walker in Mansfield, Ohio, both of whom preceded her in death.

Always independent, Margo moved to Columbus as a young woman in her early 20’s. Her career path and social consciousness eventually lead her to helping others overcome adversity as a hearings officer with the state of Ohio.

Margo retired from her job with the state after 30 years’ service. Still a young woman, she devoted herself to ensuring the final days of her mother were comfortable and peaceful. That devotion to family and friends was, indeed, the hallmark of Margo’s existence; if you were hungry, she made sure you were fed (a better cook you’ll not find), if you were in need she would go as far as she possibly could to try to alleviate that need.

Margo is survived by her husband, Henry L. Jackson II of Columbus; brother, Stephen K. Walker, of Gahanna; sister, Twila J. Walker, of Worthington; nieces Shantokie R. and Gillian I. Walker, and nephew Paris D. Walker, as well as especially loved great-nephews Elijah A., Jeremiah K. and Cameron Walker, along with great-niece Aizlyn J. Walker.
