Mark Anthony Jones

Mark Anthony Jones was the last born child of Havert and Lucille Kirkwood Jones on January 29, 1963 in Columbus, Ohio. He departed this life on April 15,2024 at The Ohio State University Hospital. He worked at Nationwide Children’s Hospital for 26 years transporting patients and graduated from Linden McKinley High School in 1981.

Mark was a man of many talents and skills. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, boating, camping, music, art, and remodeling homes. He was very gifted, and mechanically inclined to fix just about anything.

Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Havert and Lucille Jones; sister, Ernestine Murphy; brother, Lorenzo Jones; sister-in-law, Andrea (Princess) Jones; stepson, Anthony Keith Stanley and his precious buddy Lucious.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Jones; step-children, Latania Marie Stanley and Camilla Christina (Souleymane) Dia; brother, Larry Jones; sister, Jackie Sullivant; brothers-in-law, Richard and Anthony (Phyllis) Culpepper, Michael and Kevin Johnson; sisters-in-law, Cheryl Jones, Sharon and Rose Jones, Roshelle and Dina Johnson, Laverne (Nicholas) Armah, and a host of nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Visitation 10:00 AM and Memorial Service 11:00 AM Friday, April 26, 2024 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd).
