Marshawn Sullens

Marshawn Daquan Sullend age 25 enter into his life December 27, 1995 in Columbus, Ohio.  He entered into his final journey receiving his wings July 31, 2021.

Marshawn had a loving smile that would light up a room and a contagious laugh. Even if it wasn’t funny to you, if Marshawn was laughing, you were laughing as well. His laugh just had that kind of effect. Marshawn was a family man that took pride in taking care of his kids, nephew, mother, siblings, and loved ones. Marshawn was very genuine, he would give a stranger the shirt off of his back, and not think twice about it. Marshawn was very gifted and had the gift of problem solving. It doesn’t matter how big the problem may seem to you, if you went to Marshawn with a problem, he was giving an answer. Sometimes you may not like the answer that was given, but still an answer was given. Marshawn had the best advice to give, he was wise beyond his years. He was definition of strong. He took every bad situation he’s ever been in and made the best of it with a smile on his face and love in his heart.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Carolyn Fitzgerald; stepfather, Walter Dennis Sr; uncle, Tommy Stepherson; and lifetime friend, Daquan Nix.

Those left to cherish his life and memory are his loving daughters, My’Shawna Sullens, and Ny’Airah Sullens, along with two unborn children; mother, Angela Fitzgerald-Dennis; father, Shawn Sullens; brothers, Rodriguez Fitzgerald, Marcus Jones, Nateshawn Hargrove, Tommel Adams, Tylee Marshall-Dennis, Da’Shawn Sullens, and Walter Dennis Jr.; sisters, Key’seana- Hensley (Renee Mann), My’Dezire Sullens, Shania Sullens, Shawn’Qua Sullens, Wanthisha Dennis, Shaniya Dennis, and Jaliyah Adams; grandparents, Tommy and Effie Sullens, and Tommy Fitzgerald; nephew, Legend Dennis; significant other, Christiana Willis, along with the mother of his children, Carly Jefferson and Owita Payne; along with a host of other family members and friends.

Marshawn will be missed for his courage, his strength, and his genuine heart. As the days continue and so will the pain, let’s remember Marshawn and that beautiful smile and laugh that always brought peace into our lives, even if it was for just a moment.
