Martha Juanita Wilder

Juanita Wilder began this earthly life on April 12, 1940. She was the proud daughter of the late Curlene Summerville and Willie Charles Williams, Sr. of Panola, AL. Juanita attended North Sumter High School in Panola, AL.

Juanita married the late Franklin D. Wilder and three children were born of this union. Juanita professed Christ at an early age while in Alabama. She continued her spiritual walk with the Lord after moving to Columbus, OH at Bethany Presbyterian Church. She was employed as a Workshop Specialist for the Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities (formerly MRDD). She retired after 30 years of dedicated service.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents: Curlene  and Willie Charles, Sr.; husband: Franklin D. Wilder; and siblings: Michael, Tony, Author, Willie C., and Delores Roberts.

Juanita founded Wilder & Wilder Travel Adventures Company. Her favorite pass time was traveling and loved to shop abroad. She enjoyed spending time with family. She was a loving and caring person, always thinking of others first.

Celebrating her life and legacy are her loving children: Cassondra Wilder-Smith, Bronwyn Wilder (Miki), and Byron Wilder. She leaves behind nine grandchildren Sonte’, Markisha, Ciara, Casvondra, Cidara, Aisa, Isa, Kiyora, Kiyoto and three great-grandchildren Roberto, Romero, Goddess; two brothers Willie L. Williams and Doug Williams of Mobile, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.

A celebration of her life will take place on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Resurrection Power COGIC, 81 Price Rd., Gahanna. Visitation at 11:00 am followed by a service at 12:00 pm.
