Mary Irvine

Mary Alma Irvine, at age 82 went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 8, 2018. She was born September 12, 1935 to parents Alma and Charles Irvine.

Mary was a member of St. Dominic’s Catholic Church. She was a pillar in the community and fed all that came to visit her. She was employed at the Juvenile Court of Domestic Relations where she cared for troubled youth. She obtained her beautician certification. She also was an entrepreneur and owned Barbeque Rancho Restaurant, and owned Virgo’s House of Ribs. In her later years she went on to cater to several businesses throughout Columbus, Ohio.

Mary is loved by all and will be truly missed. She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Alma Irvine; children, Ronald Dawson, John Virgil Dawson, Charles Dawson, and Michelle Dawson; grandchildren, Robert Dawson, Timothy Dawson, and Javonna Patrise Dawson; beloved friend Ruth Clay. Loving memories will be forever cherished by her siblings, Charlene Wright, Beryle (Bill) Bach, Charles (Carol) Irvine; children, Mary K. Jackson, Teresa (Ralph) Dalton, James P. Dawson, Pamela D (Darrell) Helms, and Virgil J. Dawson; special friend, Fred Good; a host of grandchildren, cousins, nephews, and nieces.

Visitation 9am and Funeral 10am on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at MARLAN GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave.
