Miles M. Jackson

Miles Jackson, age 27, was born on December 5, 1993 in Chicago, Illinois to his loving parents, Daniel Mark Jackson and Melody Bowers Jordan. He went home to be with the Lord on Monday April 12, 2021 at St. Ann’s hospital in Westerville, Ohio.

His mother gave him to Christ at an early age. Miles was a spiritual person who loved Jesus and had a very close relationship with God.

Miles was five years old when he became obsessed with football, track, and gymnastics. Miles attended Marion Franklin, Life Skills, and Linden-McKinley High School. He excelled at Linden-McKinley and was on the honor roll for outstanding academic achievement. Miles was on the football and track team. His position was running back, and his jersey number was 33. Miles won 8 track medals and 4 trophies. He scored 10 touchdowns with the Black Panthers and led his team to the playoffs. Miles had dreams of playing in the NFL with the Ravens and one day meet his idol, Ray Lewis. Miles deepest passion from child to adulthood was football, track, gymnastics, and helping others.

In 2012 Miles completed the work force development training program at Wright Choice Inc. After the conclusion of training, Miles was awarded a summer Internship at the Ohio Civil Rights Commission where he worked for six weeks during the summer. Miles received an outstanding award from the Huckleberry House in recognition on his courageous steps towards a brighter future. Miles also worked at KFC and held various jobs at warehouses. Miles was employed with the People Ready Corporation and was in pursuit to get his High school diploma.

Miles was handsome, smart, sharp dresser, affectionate, very loving and kind, polite, family-oriented, brave, hard worker, trustworthy, loving dad, provider, leader, and a warrior. Miles was a loving and devoted son, brother, cousin, uncle, grandson, great-grandson, friend, Godbrother, soulmate, and a loving dad to five little angels.

Miles is preceded in death by paternal great grandparents, Wille and Alice Hayslett; grandmother, Elizabeth Jackson; maternal-great grandfather, Hosea Davenport, grandmother, Ora Lee. Bowers, great uncle, Louis Davenport, 2 special cousins Delrec and Meoria Avant.

Miles leaves to forever cherish and remember him; his loving and supportive soulmate, Jazmine Washington, mother of his five little children, Dell’Wayne Whiting-Goosby, Sorayah Stevens, Miles Jackson Jr, Mila Jackson and Knowledge Jackson; his father, Daniel Mark Jackson, mother; Melody Bowers Jordan; stepmother, Dedra Jackson; nine siblings, six brothers, Daniel Mark Jackson II, Christian J. Jordan, Dorian M. Jordan, Gabriel M. Jordan, Demarc Jackson, Demarcus Jackson; three sisters, Buttons B. Jackson, Jewel Jackson, Elexis Jackson; brother-in-law, Joel Otabela. Paternal grandfather, Henry Jackson Sr; maternal great grandmother, Leona Davenport, grandfather, David Bowers, great aunt, Corine Hill; Seven uncles, Darnell Bowers, David Bowers Jr, Wayne Avant, Kenneth Hayslett, Henry Jackson Jr, Christopher Jackson, Cortez Jackson; four Aunts, Ann Bowers, Penny Hayslett, Tarasha Avant and Second mom, De’Chante Bowers; special cousins, LaQuesha, LaToya, Christine, Willie, Tramaine, Sh’Quana, Jenay, Roberto, Delsius, Faith, Darius, David II; three nieces, A’mya, Harmony, Kahlea; three nephews, Derek, Isaiah, Melchior; two God sisters, Tina Corder, Sequoia Covington; and a host of aunts, uncles, loving cousins, and friends.

Our family and friends were not expecting the horrific tragic loss of Miles Jackson. He will be dearly and forever missed. Miles had a bright future ahead of him, until it was violently taken away by those who was supposed to help and protect him. We will miss his vibrant cheerful spirit and beautiful precious soul. We lost a young warrior with a big heart. He was truly loved by family and friends and will be forever remembered and cherished.

Visitation 10:00 AM and Private Funeral Service 11:00 AM Friday, May 7, 2021 at Park View Methodist Church , 344 South Algonquin Ave 43204. Interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Ministry of Comfort entrusted to MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave.
