GREGORY,
The Life and Times of Tyler

Tyler was born in Glenridge, N.J. on January 5, 1988 to Milton Edward Gregory and Leah Lynn Lisath. Tyler, as we called him, was a jovial child full of life. He was a mama’s boy from birth, LOL! He clung to me like his life was in danger anytime someone came to hold him. Although Toya was quite young, (4 years) she loved holding and feeding her brother. He was her real life doll.
Tyler’s father was blessed with a voice to sing and while Tyler wasn’t the singer of melodies, music ran through his blood. He would write lyrics for hours at a time releasing his deepest emotions in a spit of fire and a breathless flow of energy. His choice of words may not have always been nice, but truth always escaped his lips. Muk-Blue Eyes was his label and fit him so well.
Tyler struggled with his life choices and in the last 3 or 4 months of his life, he was really making changes. He longed to pull his family together and be the father he knew he was meant to be. He loved all his kids and wanted nothing but the best for them.

Tyler was the life of the party. He was just naturally comical, a natural clown for sure; he just couldn’t help himself. He could bring warmth to the coldest room. He could just as quickly cut you down if you crossed the line. Tyler saw the good in everyone; his heart was made of gold. He pulled out of his pocket to give his last if you had nothing, always making sure his peeps and fam were taken care of. Uncle Tyler, all the kids would scream when he walked in the room. Passing out money and acting a fool, he got on their level, but kept them straight too.

My son, my son, my FIRST born; forever your smile I shall mourn.
Your life so promising, but cut so short, ripped from my heart as a womb that aborts. Misunderstood did you walk every day, as your life screamed words you really wanted to say. Buried so deep, was my innocent boy; sheltered with anger to escape a nameless void.
Oh my son, how I will miss you so; but I find some comfort that you let me know
You are at peace with our father, flying high with the doves.
Thank you so much for your message sent from above. Love you Forever & Always, Mom
