Mother Audrey E. Watson

Audrey was born on December 13, 1924 to the late James Blaine and Isabella Cunningham in Circleville, OH. She attended Columbus Public Schools. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized. She later met and married the love of her life, Sherman W. Watson, Sr. They were married forty six years until parted by death. Audrey was a member of Bible Way Church, Pastor Bishop William C. Latta and later joined Higher Ground Always Abounding Assemblies, Pastor Bishop Sherman Watkins. Audrey was a homemaker for many years, and later worked at Ross Laboratories as an inspector. She was known for her good hospitality and home cooking. A few of her specialties were macaroni & cheese, chicken & dumplings, fried chicken, vegetable soup, homemade rolls and so much more. Her presence will be greatly missed by her family and loved ones. She was truly a “Rose” without thorns! On Tuesday, February 19, 2013 she peacefully went to be with the Lord surrounded by her family.

Audrey was preceded in death by her husband Sherman Watson, Sr., three brothers William, Everett and Elmer, three sisters nanny, Betty and Daisy, one son Sherman (Cloria) Watson, Jr., two daughters Geraldine Faison and Shirley Watson, son in law Robert Dudley, Sr, four brothers in law and four sisters in law, two grandsons Shawan Watson and Robert Dudley, Jr., three great grandsons Lonnie Gallman, Jr., Shejuan Watson and Isiah Rivers.

Audrey is survived by two sisters Mabel Corey, and Dollie Trent, son Darrell Watson, four daughters Audrey Dudley of San Antonio, TX, Jeannette (Sam) Leath and Victoria (Reuben) Reeves of Columbus, OH and Katherine (John) Barber of Windsor, CT, twenty six grandchildren, seventy two great grandchildren, twenty two great-great grandchildren, special niece Mary Grays, special grandson Anthony Watson and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
