Mr. Allen Dale Farmer

Allen Dale Farmer was the son of the late Bernard Farmer Jr. and Evangelist Janet E. Farmer. He was born August 24, 1955 in Columbus, Ohio. He passed away on January 11, 2024 while visiting Las Vegas, NV at Sunrise Hospital, with his brother, Duncan (aka “Ray”) Farmer and special friend, Rosemarie (aka Rory”) Fleming by his side.

Alan was a Franklin and Licking County school attendee. He also attended a trade school in the state of Utah. Alan had joined the Job Corp. and the United States Marine Corps. He had been employed at Pentax in Minnesota for 6 years and he owned his own black janitorial business “Kleen” over 8 years and worked The Palms Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas, NV over 17 years.

Alan was a very quiet and soft spoken person who had no time for gossip or negativity when it came to family. He enjoyed sports, traveling, cooking, especially his award winning ribs. He loved sharing stories with family and friends. Most of all, he loved being the best dressed wherever he went. Alan had lived and enjoyed life to the fullest. He will truly be missed.

He was preceded in death by by his uncle, William T. Suber II; sisters, Patricia M. Farmer, and Sonja Jo Farmer; nephew, Shaun L. Farmer; niece, Alexandria M. Farmer; aunts, Loretta Womack and Mary aka “Gillie” Farmer.

Allan is survived by his son, Cameron L. Farmer; granddaughters, Javia Farmer (Newark, OH), Rosemarie “Rory” Fleming (Las Vegas, NV); siblings, Rose (Farmer) Allen, Diana L. Farmer, Charles L. Farmer all of Newark, OH, Duncan “Ray” Farmer (Las Vegas, NV) and Bishop Leland D. (Jackie) Farmer (Columbus, OH); uncles, Martin Suber (Circleville, OH), Leroy (Debbie) Suber (Columbus, OH); aunts, Laura (Suber) Battle (Raleigh, NC) and Shirley Owens (Newark, OH) along with a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews cousins and friends; best friends, Rodney Wright (Columbus, OH), Maurice Devoul (Las Vegas, NV/New York), Terry Bell (California), Eric Royster and Michelle Scott (Newark, OH).

Visitation 10:00 AM and Funeral Service 11:00 AM Friday, January 26, 2024 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E.
